Tamizh New Year's Day Celebrations

By Ventura Pranas | 16/04/2024

Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a reality at Ventura Pranas “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” is a Sanskrit phrase that translates to “the world is one family” in English. This ancient saying conveys the idea that all people are part of a single global family.

Every brick Ventura Pranas has laid in creating a new branch, has many ideals working in the background. Despite distances and differences we strive for ‘unity in diversity’. This is precisely one of the reasons I attribute to the successful creation and sustenance of Ventura Pranas across the globe. We do this by interspersing work with elements of enjoyment so that the rigors of the workplace become easier on the senses.

I thank my experienced and responsible staff who make it a point to infuse work with purposeful entertainment as a culture in the firm and is a much-needed balm for us to thrive. I would even go to the extent of saying that we enjoy eating Mutton Biryani during Eid with as much gusto as having Vadai Payasam during Tamizh New Year’s Day celebrations.

The feeling of warmth and affection as ‘one family – Vasudaiva Kutumbhakam’, is palpable during such events at work. The last week of December has the fresh smells of Chocolate Brownies and rum-laced plum cakes wafting all over at our office cubicles and the pantry. Likewise, the Rabri and Phirni dishes from the kitchens of well-wishers during Iftar, is a great hit amongst the staff at our Chennai office.

The festive spirit is fully evident at the Ventura Pranas office, whether it is a celebration of the holy month of Ramzan and the delicious eats that follow when the fast is broken, or it is Christmas. The quintessential secular spirit is the backbone of the company. It is noteworthy to mention that during the auspicious hour of the consecration of the Lord Ram idol at the temple at Ayodhya, the entire staff at Ventura Pranas also prayed with fervor, and this is straight from our heart – where the demarcations between the religions fall away.

On the occasion of Tamil New Year’s Day that we celebrated in the thick of one of our busiest US tax deadlines, we are grateful to the state for all that it has given us. It has been a very productive thirteen long years for us in the state, having started in Chennai and have since opened an office in Trichy! We continue to commit to growing in Tamil Nadu, thereby, creating more opportunities and contributing to DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusivity). The essence of inclusivity in every aspect resonates with our ideals, and as an equal opportunity employer, we make it our mission to make inclusivity an integral part of our workforce.

Look at the pictures of the recent Tamil New Year celebrations below. I would like to modify the adage – A picture speaks a thousand words to Our pictures scream ten thousand words!! Kudos to the spirit of bonhomie and our staff members’ admirable traits and attitudes.
